VRAM

I have Movie Studio 15 Platinum and I will be getting a Custom Built PC with Win10 64 Bit.

I will be getting an AMD System but I wanted to know what is a good amount of VRAM to have on the Video Card?

I will not be doing HD Editting or Gaming but you never know.

And as Far as the AMD CPU speed what should I not go under?

thanks.

8 GB. Vegas may never saturate this much VRAM, but some plug-ins will use it, and then you are somewhat future proofed. Look at an AMD rx 580. They are cheap now, so a really good deal. Can be had second hand for around $150.

Minimum CPU speed for AMD? Hmmm, not sure. Budget?

What I should have asked is when I do get my AMD CPU I will get a Quad Core but what Speed should I not go under?

And how many Threads is it a good idea to have on the CPU?

Thanks.

Threads and clock speed don't mean much anymore. An 8 core AMD may not be even as remotely powerful as a quad core Intel.

Instead use the benchmark chart. A rating of 7,000-8,000 would be a good minimum for a processor (or a 10,000 for editing 4k).

This benchmark site also includes numbers for GPUs by the way.
