VST Plug ins don't show up

Buddy wrote on 10/20/2017, 10:16 PM

I'm currently using movie studio 14 build 127 and I cannot get any third party plug ins to show up. My operating system is Windows 10, 64 bit. I've done a clean uninstall and reinstall of MS14 as well as the plug ins themselves which include Sapphire, BCC, and a custom preset. I've read online that there is a way to let Vegas scan for third party plug ins in your program files in earlier versions but I can't figure out how to do this on MS14. I'm very green when it comes to computer knowledge so this is causing me a lot of grief.

Cannot load VST Plugins. Cannot load VST3 Plugins.

1. Please check the correct VSTPlugins Path in:

    Y -> Effects -> VST/Rewire

2. Enable "use System VST Plugin folder" in the same dialog. It's nesseccary for VST3 Plugins

3.

furthermore its helpfully to start the program as administrator. (right mouseclick on the desktop icon)

The Plugin dissapeared again?

-make a rescan of the failured plugins in this section.

The Plugin dissapeared again?

-delete the VSTPlugin.ini from your samplitude folder and make a rescan again

The Plugin dissapeared again?

-in samplitude 11(pro) and windows 7 it makes sense to delete the sam.exe.manifest file from the programfolder

The Plugin dissapeared again?

-intialize the plugin manually. drag the plugin.dll from the explorer and drop it to the empty samplitude program (no VIP open)

Win 7 64bit SPECIAL:

please install the latest patch Samplitude/Sequoia 11.2 and delete the sam.exe.manifest from your samplitude programfolder

Plugins scanning without Vst-Bridge:

Sometimes happens collision by Scanning Vstplugins via VST-Bridge (default setup) kollidieren the Plugs will be set to "invalide" (entry 4 in VSTPlugins.ini) . You are able to scann the plugins without the VST-.

Search in Samplitude/ Sequoia Programdirectory for the file VSTBridge32_v206.exe and rename it. In the next scann it will be not found. Confirm the message that appears.

Last Chance :)

open the vstplugins.ini in Notepad-Editor and search to the Pluginentry. maybe the number "4" is standing at the end of this entry.its possible to change the number manually to:

Plugins 32bit

-for Effecte = 0

-for VSTi = 1

Plugins 64bit

-for Effecte = 64

-for VSTi = 65

VSTPlugins.ini Sam ProX / Sequ 12:

...MAGIX\Samplitude_Pro_X\_ProgrammData\VstPlugins.ini

VSTPlugins.ini Samplitude 11 / Sequ 11 and older:

...Magix\Samplitude 11 Pro\VstPlugins.ini

...Magix\Sequoia 11\VstPlugins.ini"

I found this in tech support FAQ but I don't understand what it means
