Because Vegas doesn't support VST plug-ins, maybe?

Did you read something somewhere that inferred Vegas was VSTi-compatible ?

However you can run these in VST-wrappers such as from FXpansion. Also many VSTi have DXi versions.

But you'll sdtill need MIDI to play them unless you are playing real-time from or from an external sequencer (hardware or software).

Install the wrapper.

In vegas select the Vst-Dx wrapper as a plugin.

You will get a file browser pop-up that asks you to choose a VST plugin (dll file). Hopefully you've put these all in a directory called 'vstplugins' or similar - go to that directory and choose the plugin you want.

you still won't be able to run VSTi's in Vegas because it doesn't support them!
