VV 3 Demo can't find DirectX audio plugs?

Hello -

I have just downloaded the VV3 demo, and every time I load the program, I get this error:

Rundll
Error loading C:\Progra~1\Sonic
The specified module could not be found

I am running WinXP Pro with whatever version of DirectX that XP Pro comes with.

Once I click OK on the dialogue box VV3 works just fine - I love the program - with the notable abscence of any and all audio plug ins!

I have tried re-installing too many times to find humour in it anymore. Is DirectX plug in access only for registered versions?

Thank you...

The DirectX plug-ins should work in the demo version, same as they would in the registered full version.

Try dragging any .dll from :\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio on to a running copy of Vegas- that should pop a registration dialog and make that particular effect show up after you click yes. Do that for all audio fx and you are set. If it still doesn't work, post back here and we'll try something else.

Thank you for the suggestion - a dialogue box indeed appeared prompting for registration. When I clicked, YES, however, I received the same error message - RUNDLL C:\Progra1~\Sonic The specified Module Cannot Be Found. Some time ago I had a VV2 demo running under Win2k Pro. I upgraded to XP Pro soon after, and uninstalled the VV2 demo. I also run Steinberg Nuendo v.1.53 and all DirectX plugs work fine.
