p4 1.4, 256 ram, winxp, SF3.0, and a sony dcrtrv210 NTSC camcorder
I've been using Digital Origin's IntroDV program for a while and thought it was time to upgrade so I got SF3.0. My problem is that VV doesn't recognize my camera and i can't capture any video, but IntroDV does. I know that i can just capture with IntroDv and then import it but it's a lot of hassle. Please help me

Ian

You can either try uninstalling Vegas and reinstalling......make sure it's 3.0C.

If that doesn't work, uninstall IntroDV, uninstall Vegas, reboot, reinstall only Vegas.

Let us know

I've reinstalled Vegas and removed IntroDV. It's still says that there is no capture device

Are you using an OHCI card or the Lynx card? If you are using the Lynx card, you will have to remove the Lynx card, install an OHCI card, and Vegas should work fine. Of course, IntroDV would no longer work.

Hmmm.
Keep trying???
Did you uninstall Intro DV first, then uninstall / reinstall Vegas afterward?
Try a reboot.

I can duplicate your issue on 98 and XP if I install MGI VW or Studio DV with Vegas.

With Vegas open, click on HELP, About Vegas Video, and you will see the version and build. 3.0C build 138?

i don't have version 3.0c. I have version 3.0(build76)

I uninstalled IntroDV first.
