Yeah, but they didn't have it in Chinese. Not that it would have done me any good... I don't know if VV comes localized or not. I know that the character stuff is pretty tricky, and I would imagine that the text generator can use any TT font, but I don't know beyond that.

Vegas 3 will not be localized and there are no plans to do so at this time.

Vegas 3 will support typing info into the text generator with Japanese, Korean, or Chinese fonts.

You cannot paste Japanese, Korean, or Chinese dbcs text(from a script or web page for instance) into the text generator- that will not work. We hope to address this in a future update.
