VV3 Beta problems

I noticed while using the beta that the program seems a little buggy when using the middle scroll whell on my mouse for zooming in and out. One time, after zooming out all the way, the wheel no longer worked. Then, clicking on the zoom in and out buttons didn't work. Shortly after that, I noticed all the fonts in the Open/Save/Render dialog boxes got very large and some of the combo boxes would disappear until I put my mouse over them. After that, VV3 got very unresponsive and I had to close it and reboot.

I have one other question. While rendering to the new Windows Media 8 (WMV) codec, I noticed that you now have 2 pass encoding, but I can't find any option for Variable Bit Rate (VBR). It seems all of the encoding is Quality based rather than bit rate based. Is it going to be in the final release? Otherwise, I will have to keep using the Windows Media Encoder to get bit rate based VBR.

Other than that, I love the beta and can't wait to buy it. Keep up the good work!

While encoding WMV files, if I don't want any sound, I have to choose "0kbps, 8 kHz, mono" since there is no other option for no sound. When I do this, I get the error message "An error occurred while creating the media file test.wmv. Error 0xc00d003c (message missing)".

You must have overlooked that there is no option of "0_8_1" in Windows Media 8 encoder. You have to just use "0".

No problems here with VV2 or 3 and wheel mouse zooming. Compaq , ME and only 128MB, none the less.
