As I mentioned before I do have a problem with VV3 and my Panasonic camera capture/print to tape.
Just wander if the Program use generic driver or it recognise my Panasonic camera.
I found that under Premiere I can capture with no problems as long as I choose generic device. When I choose Panasonic camera (my exact model is listed) I loose controll. I just thought it might be the case with VV3...

Just curious, what model is your camera? I've got a Panasonic PV-DV900 and i have no troubles capturing in Video Capture. I will note however that i never see my camera model listed. I just see "Microsoft DV Camera" and choose that.

I've installed VF2 demo. Tested, capture works ok.
Started VV3, capture works ok. Uninstalled VF2, VV3 capture down. Hmmm...
Uninstall/install VV3 capture down. Uninstall VV3 edited Registry, removed all Sonic entries, reinstall VV3, now capture works.
So now, capture works, however print to tape (from timeline -TOOLS) still has a problem to start camera. It puts it in REC/PAUSE mode, then there is display on my camera" No DV Input", then the picture appears but the camera stays in "PAUSE" mode, when I release PAUSE it records, othervise nothing is happening.
Recording file from Capture Manager works ok., camera starts properly.

It is NV-DA1 ENA (Australian market)
When print to tape (auto) it is put in REC/PAUSE so I have to release PAUSE manually. Interesting, it stops on its own on the end of printing.
