VV3's handling of MJPEG-based video clips

Hi All,

I have video clips from my Canon G1 digital camera, which creates 30-second video clips using MJPEG compression. On a Win2K system, any application, including VV3, cannot read this kind of video clip unless the appropriate MJPEG codec is installed. However, on my Windows XP Professional system, both Windows Media Player and Ulead's PhotoExplorer application can detect the video stream and play the Canon G1's videop clips just fine, without any MJPEG codec installed. VV3, however, cannot dectect the video stream and only detect the audio stream. When I installed the MJPEC codec, VV3 can read the video stream and play the video clip just fine with both video and audio streams. However, in this case, Windows Media Player and Ulead's PhotoExplorer applicatino can NO LONGER play this kind of video clips.

Anyone here has encountered such a problem? If so, what was the resolution?

Thanks,
-Veasna
