VV3 - Slaving on Same PC?

Does anyone know how I can slave my MIDI Sequencing software (Cakewalk 9) to Vegas on the same machine?

I've got it working fine in Studio A where MIDI is on a compltetly different PC. But on the same PC it's not working.

how's the latency/sync of your final recordings? can you record one cakewalk track, then record another, and do they line up afterwards?
