VV30 upgrade/patch?

Few weeks back i recall vegas popping up a window telling me there was a update version available. I was in midst of a very large project & did not want to take the chance of losing any data with an upgrade problem so i pretty much ignored the upgrade release notes/directions :(

Now i would like to upgrade but not sure if i'm doing it right??
& i can't seem to find anything about upgrade instructions on this forum or on SFs download pages??

Currently, i have Version 3.0 (Build 76)

I downloaded the "updated version" (3.0a 107).. but, when i go to install, it appears this is just newer full-version, rather then like a patch/update??

The installer asks me if i want to overwrite files... so i'm not sure if i was suppose to uninstall old version first, then run 3.0a 107 installer??

little help of course would be appreciated!
thanks

Sonic Foundry doesn't release patches. Each new update is a complete install. All you have to do is run the installer on top of your current version. Choose OK when it asks about overwriting old files; it's actually asking about the installtion files, not the application itself. The new version will incorporate any custom settings and templates you've already had.
