VV4 Easy question

Well, I downloaded the beta of vv4 after being fed up with Studio 8. I was running through the VV3 manual tutorial when I hit a wall.

Somehow, the timeline background on my top 3 videos became a dark grey and the only way to play them was to click the solo button on all three videos. What did I do to cause this?

Sounds like you muted them. There is another button next to the solo button that will mute a track. Any muted track will appear to be dark gray.

Hmmm, I'll chalk it up to weirdness. Neither the Mute or Solo buttons were depressed but yet the tracks were darker gray. I did fix it by pressing all three solo icons, then CTRL click on one of the three.

Thanks for the response though, I now what the mute button does (I thought it was only for audio until I read up on it)

I have actually bought Studio 8 twice, once in the USA then I bought it again when I got back home to Australia becuase I needed PAL, but it simply doesn't work. That's why I am now a satisfied owner of VV3.0 and will be upgrading to V4 when it is officially released :-) I don't know how Pinnacle can release a product that simply doesn't work, not even using a completely fresh install of XP.
