I have a series of 56 pictures taken of a toy wombat photographed on a turntable so that I could rotate it a small amount each time and photograph it using a digital stills camera mounted on a tripod. The 56 images represent 1 full revolution of the Wombat.
Using Photoshop each image has been cut out to leave just the wombat against a transparent background. I have imported these PSD files into VV4 and they give me a reasonably good image of a wombat rotating in 3D. My problem comes from my lack of understanding of velocity envelopes in trying to slow the rate of rotation of the wombat.
If I apply a velocity envelope and set its speed to 25% then I only get 25% of the rotation of the wombat in other words it does not complete a full revolution. I have been getting over this by dragging the clip length out on the time line to 4 times its initial length so that the sequence completes as I want. I have the image resample option selected.
Am I doing that correctly? It seems a little hit and miss to me.
Any help gratefully received.
Dave
PS Why a wombat? We use a Wombat logo on all our cards calendars and videos that we create.
