I thought you were supposed to run with Tivas.

The external DVD burner will not work until you connect a full propane tank to it.

As to the F-P codecs, remember: you get what you pay for.

OK, I have the propane, but does anybody make a connector for getting the propane from the hose into the Firewire port? (I guess that's why they call it Firewire, eh?)

apparently we are filling the board with "useful" threads like this one and the fisher price hdv codec. Joy.

If this place had an actual "Off-Topic" section, I wouldn't even reply to this stuff, but this is a pretty specialized forum. I tend to use my off-topic humor and April Fools jokes for other forums. It's not like there aren't thousands of them.

Heck.. go here: http://www.offtopic.com/ and prepare for your newbie status to get you ridiculed beyond belief. :)

The Sony forums are better off without any OT posts. :-/

He posted about his installation of Vegas on his TiVo...how is that off-topic?

Anyhow, it's really not all it's cracked up to be. I tried it for a while, but went back to the Windows version pretty quick. It's neat to do for s&g, but it's not very practical. For one thing, the overscan (or is it underscan?) on most TVs makes it very difficult to work with.

Yeah, the Win version makes more sense, although I always liked VV for the Palm OS also.
