VVegas 3 with Pinnacle V500

Will the VVegas 3 support the Pinnacle V500? Will there be a performance gain? Will it be able to use the real time effects of the V500?

I want to use Vegas3 to edit but if it wont be able to maximize my V500 then i guess i have to resort to using premier which is more compatible with my V500.

what do you think?

This card is not supported. Vegas will not be able to use any of the Pinnacle fx accelleration. You may have trouble getting this card to work at all unless you use the Texas Instruments 1394 driver....and even then, reports are mixed.

I have the DV500 and Vegas. No, Vegas will not work through the DV500 but who cares. If you dont have an OHCI port other than the DV500 get one. I use both the DV500 with Pinnacle and Vegas depending on what I need to do. For whatever reason the video files captured with Veags thru OHCI can import intop Premiere with the 500 settings and play realtime just like if I captured through the 500. Also the files captured with the 500 work in Vegas. I can switch files back and forth with no problem so I like this.
