VX2000 shaking?

Last night, my VX2000 started vibrating while taping. It did it for out 30 seconds and it shook so hard, it shook the bogen tripod it was sitting in. What would cause this?

Could be a problem with your tape drive mechanism. There is also a problem with using these cameras in the vicinity of a stong radio souce like police radios or near powerfull stobe lights with your SteadyShot engaged. Either could make make stabilizer wack back and forth in the camera housing.

I hadn't thought about the stabilizer. You might be able to test that by turning it off.
