I have customized a number of the Sony and New Blue video FX and want to back them up incase of a reinstall. I did a search but couldn't find them. Where are they stored please?
AFAIK, you can only back them up (using the Sony Preset Manager - it's free) if they're a part of a multi-FX chain.
edit: what you could do is apply your FX to any piece of video (generated media would be best), save the veg file (give it the FX name so you'll remember it) and then store that veg file somewhere for safekeeping.
When you need it, open up that veg file and copy & paste the FX to a new project.
Thanks for that Mike. I downloaded the app, but wondered if my FX presets will be preserved if I have to reinstall the OS which I did only last week. I need to find out if I can back up the folder the FX presets are stored in. Hopefully, the preset manager will allow this.
OK, I got it figured out alright, but it took awhile. I decided to install PM into a data partition instead of the C drive where Vegas is. I thought that if I did have to reinstall Vegas, then saved presets would remain untouched.
