In Option-->Preferences click the general tab

In Version 2.0a there are no drawn waveforms during recording , but
afterwards they are here.
It would be nice if SF brings it up again to see the wavs drawn
during recording!!!
Thanks Walterius

Bring up Options > Preferences >> Audio. You'll see a drop-down menu
called "waveforms display while recording:", where you can select
either none, one or all waveforms to be displayed while recording.

Hello All
I had this same problem,I upgraded VV and had the rendering while
recording so I uninstalled Vegas Video 2.0a and re-installed 2.0a and
the problem went a way,I don't know if anyone else has Vegas pro
installed on the same system but if you look in view plugins I was
seeing two ea of the track plugins. So in short I uninstalled both
Vegas and only installed 2.0a. Note do not install Vegas Audio 2.0 if
you have Video 2.0 on that system, it removed my Vegas Video 2.0a

I did have Vegas Pro installed the first time I had the problem, so I
removed all the programs related to vegas (pro 1.0b, xfx1-3, audio
2.0) and reinstalled audio 2.0. I still have the problem of no waves
being drawn no matter where the options are set. Do you think I
should re-download the install program?

Hi Jim
I had Vegas Video 2.0 and upgraded to 2.0a.I had the same problem so
uninstalled Vegas Video and installed 2.0a and that fixed my wave
while recording problem. You should have Vegas Audio 2.0a (build 323)
or Vegas Video 2.0a (build 323). Please let me know

I never had Vegas Video, but found my problem. Vegas audio 2.0a
would not draw waveforms if options>preferences>General> prompt to
keep files after recording was not checked. I thought it was a pain
if after every take a promt came up......so I unchecked it and that
caused my waveforms not to happen. Does this happen in your copy?
It still doesn't draw waves while recording. (doesn't make sense
since it did draw the waves in Vegas 1.0b) Finally it does draw the
wave after accepting the take. Is it just me?

Hi Walterius
One of the other guy's that work here said there is a folder call
Sonic Foundry installs in your program file.He said he deleted that
folder and uninstalled VV and installed the update VV 2.0a and it
worked fine, I'll try this tonight on the other studio.
