Nothing happens...just a blank screen.

Strange. Did you set the Vegas Ram preview buffer to 0 MB? - This is recommended for the use of Wax.

Marco,

Upon dragging the plugin to the event, Wax actually opens but just for a second or two followed by the desktop screen

I will disable RAM preview ...hope this corrects the problem.

Make sure Split Screen Preview is turned off (above Preview screen)

Have the same problem. With the original wax2.0 Vegas would magically disappear from the screen. With the update it will only disappear intermittently. Extremely frustrating since it is too dangerous to use.

I have been unable to find a common denominator. I can do three or four identical transitions - the first 3 will be fine and then on the fourth - poof - it pulls a David Copperfield.

Tried your suggestions... Still no luck. Hopefully Satish comes to my aid.

Thanks guys .

I found that if I point Wax 2.0b to my Virtual Dub plug-in folder during installation, it will disappear as you describe. There are some incompatible Virtual Dub plug-ins that are causing this behavior, probably the temporal noise reduction filters since they work on more than one frame at a time.

Looks like lots of people are having this problem too, over on Satish's Wax forum page. I'm sure he knows about it.

Just heard about Wax yesterday. Downloaded it, installed .NET framework. Running Windows 2000.

When I select Wax to include in Video Event FX, a prompt says, "Unable to find video edit length, check to see if you can run scripts"

I've never run scripts before, but it looks like I can, based on what I see in the Vegas menu. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try to run a script. Odds are you still cannot. In *some* cases, you must uninstall/reinstall Vegas AFTER installing the .NET Framework.
