Very sorry guys but I know I can get a quick answer here and my wife has a paper due tomorrow:
In the MS Works word processor, can someone please tell me how to turn that damned "replace as you type" option off. I"ve searched "Help" but can't find it to save my life!
I brag on you guys all the time by her telling her how patient and helpful you are ...so please prove me right : )
TIA,
Randy

It's not that you have pressed the "Insert" key? That is a toggle. By default you are in "insert mode" but when you press it it goes into "replace/overtype mode". That key works like this in just about every application.
