My employers just came back from Australia and brought everyone t-shirts from the Nimbin museum. Nice artwork. Any of you Aussies have Nimbin stories to tell?
did your employer tell you you could smoke them when you're finished wearing them....
ah, the smell of hemp burning (though the sweat could be a little off-putting).
nimbin was the hippies mecca till it went feral. can't put my finger on the year, but it spread throughout the region - byron bay is now the miami of the baby-boomers...
They were visiting an old Ballets Russes dancer in Byron Bay. One of the people interviewed in their film: http://www.balletsrussesmovie.com/
The T-shirt was 100% cotton, no hemp, but the screen design is kind of nice as t-shirts go. Good general appeal.
I went to college in Arcata, CA. in a county that is still kind of famous for pot cultivation. I'm well past that now but the Nimbin museum looks like it'd fit right in to a few Humboldt county towns, most likely sunny Garberville where an annual Raggae event takes place.
