Way to Split a Single Track or Video/Audio Pair?

When I perform a split on my video track it splits every track
above and below in the same place on the timeline. Is there
a way to split that only affects a single selected video track or
the connected video and audio track pair?

The other tracks are songs in my template and I do not want
them to be split.

Well, it is not what I hoped for because it does not snap to my cursor
but ctrl+shift+alt+click seems to be the answer.

SELECT the ungrouped track(s) you wish to split first, then press "S".
That's all there is to it

Even if your events are grouped, if you Select Ignore Event Grouping (Ctrl + Alt + U) in the Taskbar, then Split will be applied to whatever tracks you select.

Saying the same thing as Musicvid, but in another way, if nothing is selected, then all tracks get split. But, if you first select one or more events on different tracks, only the selected events get selected. Also, on the more recent versions of Vegas (from version 10 onwards, I think) if you only select the video event, if there is audio associated with that, it gets split as well (unless you ignore grouping).

I see. Perfect, I thought it would be active by selected track but it is really by highlighted event. Perfect. Now I have two ways. THANKS!!!
