Wayward Extensions?

OK, I've posted this before, and now, I'm doing it again.

I can have Extensions like the ones from VASST, Excalibur and Gilles stay up for a session - maybe a day (?), but on return, like TODAY, they've gone - again! I have to go

View > Extensions > (select) Excalibur/VASST NP/VASST UL2P4

It would appear I have to do this every day.

Anybody else? Any solution?

Not exactly the same problem as yours however none of this seems to behave consistantly. I have VASST Notepad appearing docked in the same window as media generators and the other usual things. I have another extension (Offline Media Resolver) available under View > Extensions that opens when I click it but refuses to dock anywhere and doesn't appear under Tools>Extensions at all. Also none of the Extensions in the Veggie Toolkit will dock either, go figure.

I guess the best I can say is mine are don't change over time but nothing seems to work the same way.

So, do we have an inconsistency that is consistent? Yours is a docking issue, mine is "drifting-away" from the setup overnight - but that is plain silly!

Ah! I've now gone back to:View > Extensions . .and NOW there is NOTHING there!

Now I repeat View > Extensions and they appear back!

Grazie, I've not noticed that happening. I started Excalibur several months ago and it's there every time I start Vegas.

Bob, in my experimentation I noticed that if you create a different docking area and dock a Custom Command in that area, it will always return to the main docking area. However, that testing was done in 8.0a so the behavior may be different in 8.0c. I haven't tested that behavior in 8.0c.
