This technology has existed and there are a lot of methods you can look up on the internet you can study to render the same effect. Adobe made similar showcases several years back.

However. . . I'm genuinely scared of this.

Great -- the more 'dumbing down" of the amateur presenter space via "easy access" tools the better. I must say, this is impressive. I like the automatic cutting of the "um"s and "erh" s but I wonder how well that actually works.....

Interesting. I see that the only NLEs it exports to are FCP and Premiere; but does export to Samplitude, Reaper, Pro Tools, Logic and Audition.

It's quite expensive too. The fully featured version - Pro, the version with all the new tech - costs $24 per month on an annual plan; $30 per month on a month-by-month plan. I assume that's USD. Pricing is subscription only.
