Web to DVD or wmv to dvd

I have a wmv file from the web that is 1024x768 and I need to move it to regular dvd for playback. What are the best render settings to accomplish this? Currently when I use stock DVDA settings in Vegas 9, the video is fuzzy and has a flicker to it. I figure there has to be a way to have high quality wmv on a DVD. Looking for any help you folks can provide. -Jeff

You may not be able to get very good quality from it, depending how it was made (low bitrate=low quality).

You don't have a whole lot of choice in render settings for a DVD. It has to be mpeg2 if you want a standard DVD. You can choose widescreen or SD, depending on which looks better to you.

If you just want to play it on a computer, then just make a data DVD by burning the original .wmv to DVD.
