Wedding Videography & Vegas Training

I am looking to take a course on Wedding/Event Videography. I have searched the web for about a week, and find nowhere or no one who gives classes/courses for this. I checked with WEVA and they don't know of anyone either. They just have 1-2 day seminars every now and then. I need hands-on experience, not videos you buy. If anyone knows of someone/somewhere that does this, please let me know. ALSO, does anyone know where I can takes some course/classes on the use of Vegas/DVD3? Again, I need instruction where I get hands on, not videos to watch. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPERCIATED!
Thanks

Why not find a wedding videographer in a neighboring state (no chance of taking away clients) and ask them if you can follow them on a couple of weddings and throughout the editing process through to completion so you can get an idea of how to start your business.
As incentive, tell them that you will put in a plug for them on your website once you get established as a videographer. Tell them that you will be willing to work for free as a runner or doing some capturing back to the editor, etc.
They might let you tag along for free or they may want to charge (if you ask a lot of questions). But this would seem to be the best route as no classroom is going to be able to teach you everything that being on location and watching the editing process take place will.
If they use Vegas and DVDA then that will answer your other question as well. I hear that Vasst.com 's dvds are excellent- you might just want to pick them up and give them a try (they don't get frustrated with you when you don't get the concept for the 3rd time like some people will :)

Check out Video University. Heavily weighted to wedding videographers.

There is a forum headed by Glen Elliot (the God of wedding video) which you can view here and he specifically recommends some training here.

I can also recommend

by the Von Lanken's, a very nice couple and arguably a source of inspiration for Glen and others.
