Weird sound coming from ATH-M40X headphones that I've never heard befo

I'm going crazy over this and it's been happening since yesterday. I didn't change anything or plug anything else into my pc but now I hear almost like a "boing" sound every time. I don't know how to accurately describe it but it's like a spring vibrating and it only lasts for like a second. No idea if that even made sense, I also checked to make sure it's not coming from any background app or notification and it isn't. Has anyone else encountered this? Any solution would be much appreciated. https://getappvalley.com/

There seems to be a cross-over happening from Reddit posts to this forum as this is not the first time recently that Reddit posts have appeared on this forum. The above post is exactly the same as https://www.reddit.com/r/audio/comments/ls1hyc/weird_sound_coming_from_athm40x_headphones_that/ posted on Reddit only a few hours ago.
