By the way, if you have an earlier version of .Net installed. I would recommned uninstalling it before, instaling .Net 1.1

Clocking in at 41.2 Mb in size, the installer stub is actually smaller than Vegas 4.0.. hmm..

And it does not run on Win 98 no more..? (downloaded and trying it out on a internet PC running Win 98, production workstation with monster power is strictly for work only, dude..)

Or, I am not getting the right file at all..?

The readme-file does say that Vegas 5 requires Windows 2000 or XP to run. That is going to generate a stir at the forum, I suppose.

A hint? There's only about an hour and a half left to go. I guess I might as well.

Go to the download page for updates or demos and figure out where they are storing those files. Then go there directly with your browser. I hope this isn't too obvious of a hint.
