4K video has four times the resolution of hi-def. It takes a very powerful computer to edit it -- and if you burn a BluRay from it, you're losing 75% of the resolution!

I doubt you'll see much support for it in the consumer world for a while.

It's really much more of a digital format for replacing professional film.

Besides, do you really want to edit video from a $5000+ camcorder on a $75 program?
