what am i doing wrong

here we go. i have read the posts about winxp and firewire. i have a sony camcorder mini dv with firewire output. when i am in vegas and i do a batch capture the program gives me problem after the first clip it caputers in. And the program crashes. i don't know if it is my camcorder or it is a software issure or it is a firewire issue. where should i start. one note, i do have a external dvd-r drive and a hard drive that has been converted to use firewire. that should not matter.

it works if i do them one at a time. what i will try to do is a very long capture.

You also might try turning off Scene Detection when doing a Batch capture. My system seemed to have problems with batch capture and scene detect.
