What are best settings for Web Video

JimClark wrote on 7/28/2002, 7:54 PM
I am new to all ov this video editing and was wondering what are the best settings to use for creating video for web sites. I have tried some but is there any way to improve the detail in the picture. The ones I tried yesterday are at http://home.att.net/~clark5080/ click on video 1 2 or 3 to see examples.
Thanks

Cool video. I want one of those boats for xmas. I'm no expert, JimClark, and the quality looks fine to me. As I understand it mpeg2 is the best streaming file-type, but someone more expert than me may differ. There is a fairly new compression type, mpeg4, which is supposed to be even better @ www.divx.com. I think you can get converters to compress from avi to mpeg4, but I haven't genned up on it well enough to offer advice.

I got caught up in watching them and forgot to look for better detail. I guess that's a good thing. :)

Stream was fast & free of re-buffers (running cable modem here in Vermont USA).
