What Are the Best Render Settings for HD 1080p 24p

I'm working on a project shoot on the Canon EOS 7D and want to render out sections to join together later in Vegas. What is the best settings to render out to using AVI and Quick at output files uncompressed. Foe some reason it won't stay wide. Should I continue to use a 1.000 pixel setting?

Uncompressed AVI and any Quicktime do not respect PAR flags. Your render should be 1920x1080, 1:1 PAR (square pixels) stretch to fill frame. Project should match media settings.
