I've been using Sony Vegas 13 for quite sometime but never knew about the power of plugins until I discovered Plural Eyes. I'm hooked for more streamlined and productive plugins. Any recommendations?
Vegasaur (for workflow boosts) and Tiffen DFX (for color correction, grading, light fx) are two of my favorites.
Woldn’t that be different for everyone based on your unique needs? After all, if some plug-ins were essential, they would be coming with Vegas already, right?
I would say the only essential plugin is Vegasaur. The rest is really up the kind of work one is doing.

ProDad Mercalli is essential and brilliant as a stabilizer. It is far superior to the one built into Vegas even though this itself is based on Mercalli. You might like to look at Timeline Tools (but only for versions prior to Vegas 14) and Excalibur.

also i use neat video, izotope rx plugin pack (for audio) , FBmn white balance - way superior to the vegas one (although even the GPU version is really tough on the system), magic bullet and NB titler (awkward but unfortunately vegas does give us a good titling option).
I wouldnt call them 'essential' - but i use them constantly.

Check out Macro Generator Pro http://www.macrogenerator.net/ a good investment especially if you use more than one NLE, Titler Pro from Newblue when it works is a very essential tool in my opinion and Hitfilm Ignite Pro, for audio I would say the Izotope Elements Bundle is a must... if you own one of their Izotope elements plugins like Nectar Elements you are eligible for a huge discount
NewBlue FX, and I have the impression they are fast and well supported if you have got a good Nvidea videocard for real time viewing.
Good inputs here so far; I will echo Izotope plug-ins for audio clean-up. Their noise reduction is very efficient and effective.
