What are the files created after one burns a VCD?????

I have created my first VCD, but I have not tested it yet in a DVD player. I dont kwon if it works; although i am kind of curious of the directories that were created after I burned my little movie into a CD-R. The following are the directories that were created:
* CDI (which does not contain anything);
* MPEGAV (which containg the dat file - this is the actuall video file); and
* VCD (which contains .VCD files).
Can some one please tell me if these are the right files for the VCD to play in a countertop DVD player, for example.

It will work in a DVD player, as long as the DVD player is VCD compatible and can play CD-R or CD-RW disks. Go here to check your DVD player compatibility.
