What can be the main reason of White Screen Freeze?

White screen crash / freeze like below without any send error report dialogue.

i am waiting for 20 minutes to resume. as it resume sometimes.

but most of time it freeze for unknown time.

so need to close it from task manager.

this error is very common. even then if there is any solution for this or just for reducing its occurence.

please tell me.

this time i just click on created NESTED TIMELINE and it freeze with processing circle when i click on anywhere

it becomes white.

pls guide me if i can do something

Enable "hang detection" in internal preferences (it was enabled in earlier builds, not sure about the current one). That should at least trigger an error report.

I don't see it much with easy to edit media.

The most often documented causes of white screen freezes in Vegas since VP18 are conflicts between GPU drivers and accelerated plugins.

The simplest tests of this scenario is to turn OFF "GPU Acceleration of Video Preview" in Preferences->Video, close and restart Vegas, upgrade or try different driver versions, or narrowing it down to a specific "smart plugin" provider.
