Prodad does implement the stabilizer and cmox fixer as separate plug-ins and buying the Merc V4 plug package has both. Who knows what V14 Pro comes with. Just the stabilizer? There is a good chance it is only the stabilzer in V14 Pro, otherwise, IMO, they would probably list the cmos fixer in their check lists as being included.
So I assume the Mercalli V4 CMOS Fixr for Vegas does not come with Vegas Pro ... Seems like it's two products and two different plugins ..
I got a serial number for CMOS Fixr in the email from Magix when I bought ver. 14 Pro.
So you got both, CMOS Fixr and V4 stablizier ? That would make VP14 upgrade a bargain for those who don't already own Mercalli and want it.
Yes it came with both.
That's pretty cool for those of us that don't already own Mercalli .. This will likely kick me over the top and I'll get the $249 upgrade. I also like the new Velocity envelope up to 1000% .. but disappointed that Pluraleyes will not work so far. That's blow.
Heres a quick comparison of Vegas Image Stabiliser (medium) with Mercalli V4 (universal camera), with and without the CMOS fixer. This is a cheap Sony WX350 camera. There is a lot of rotational movement which both remove well but Mercalli leaves a vertical jitter, both V4 and the cmos fixer together are needed. A fair amount of fiddling with the settings did not improve it. Sony's does a great job with only minimal mouse clicks.
Hmmmm ... I've heard folks rave about Mercalli .. Your comparision video gives me pause ... I've been using the Sony Stablizier now and then .. it certainly is easy to use .. Maybe I'll try the trial versions of Mercalli and see if I can use them with the trail version of VP14 .. IF the upgrade to VP14 had been $149, I might have plunged without much thought but for $249 I'm thinking hard about it and looking for some value and a reason to upgrade

Yes, I noticed that too. There are situations where Mercalli V4 is better but only a few. The stand alone version does a bit better but not by much.
Mercalli is very good with really bad stuff I've found. Have not tried the Sony stuff in a long time, will have to give it a go. I have Mercalli PRO 4.0 seperate and I live the fact that you can save as PRO Res.
