What converter is better, DAC-2 or Canopus?

I will be converting a VV3 project over to Betacam SP. What converter will do the job with the best results, the DAC-2 or Canopus ADVC-100. I have heard pros and cons with each unit. Has anyone on the forum had good success with a conversion to Beta SP and what unit do you recommend. Thanks.

I've got the DAC-2, but since it's been discontinued, i'll have to recommend the Canopus unit to you. It has a few more features than the DAC-2 did, and just about every report of it i see in here is very favorable.

The proMAX DA-MAX+ is pretty cool, with composite, S-video, component and option SDI in and out. A little more $ than the Canopus.

www.videoguys.com tested both units ... looks like the canopus could use some improvement ..
