Possible new features on VV4.

I think a good new feature in VV4 could be a multilayering system on the event level. It means the capability of create compositings on to the event not on the track. I think it could be interesting for mask aan event without maskering the all track and all events, or create a chroma effect in an event only.

What do you think about this????

Sorry for my bad english.

I'm not SoFo, but I just saw a new product on the shelf at a major NYC computer store, in which you put yourself on camera with a (supplied) green screen behind you, and a template composits you right into a news-graphics format a la CNN, and into an avi file. Would be a great idea to beef up the chroma-keying or alpha-channel features to enable that kind of tinkering.

Ye, you are rigth, but why not make this in one step and no have to combine, etz...., if you want to change something after the combine, you must reopen the old project, recombine and ....

Imagine you have 35 events with a particular mask each event. You need 35 traks with its particular mask .... total 70 traks ;-), 70 combines to a new track and a great headache ;-)

I've made this with 12 events and is for this reason I have a little brainstorming with myself and this idea appeared, after 25 aspirins ;-)

Another possibility could be to add a filter called mask in the event, I think there could be more possibilities in the evnet level (shadow for example) not only at track level.

Why not multilayer events?.

I've used many editing software, and I think Vegas is the most useful, intuitive , and it have speed up my editings a lot,and I think is the best, but I miss some things at event level.
And at track level I miss "only" a thing ..... a Z axis, to spin the events or the tracks. Yes, there is a filter to simulate the 3D but it could be better at track level.

It's only an idea, but I think it could be useful.

My english is as bad as in the last post? ;-)
