I want that two minutes of my life back.

I loved JC's response, because, especially for a foreigner, such weird videos are hard to decode. Is this guy sending up socialism or is he really a socialist? His performance is so weird that its hard to determine.

By the way, this thread should have started with an OT.

Could use a tripod to assist stability.

But I thought the audio levels and the judicious use of FXs carried it along nicely. The "acting" was very plausible and didn't detract from the essential Stanislaw reality, which assisted the underlying narrative of the Keynesian concept that the "market" will prevail. However, I feel the parallel drawn with dialectical materialism was weak and not without its own ironic plausibilities too, and surely would have benefited the whole piece if they had been given time to be explored more thoroughly.

Pity, otherwise, as a critique of the here and now, it was well hard!

Politics reminds me of the school yard bully who is considerate enough to let you vote which hand you want to be thumped with
Either way it’s going to hurt and he is going to take your lunch money

So reshoot and edit with more insight lol

I really appreciate (and apologize) that you all sat through that. It's a contest entry and the most hits wins, so I am trying to share it everywhere. I know its lame, but that's the point.

Just to redeem myself, check these out:

So I was lured into watching this video thinking that a Vegas forum member was genuinely looking for a critique of their work, but now you tell me that my viewing of that lame piece of political crap counted toward it potentially winning some sort of contest? There is nothing you can do to redeem yourself.

Haha...no, not extactly. Hits I need, yes, but am absolutely interested in feedback. It was shot with one HV30 with a wide angle lens and RODE videomic. The old Sony 740 held by "Marty Leftwig" isn't being used...the shots of the guy in red were shot with the HV30 in handheld style (thus the purposeful jittery movement). And we had no script and no real plan going in--the previous idea was nixed when I discovered kids couldn't be in the vid. So this was LAST minute.

Had to crop and pan one shot (the mirror shot) because I left a notepad in the frame on accident! But does the TV Simulator effect look okay?
