What does it mean when...

I tess convert cut to transition (numpad /) and the upside down triangle turns blue. What do those mean anyway? I have always noticed that they were dark blue. Threw me a curve when I sae a light blue one. What do the pretty colors mean :)

Dark blue means there is no fade at the end of the clip; it's a straight cut. Light blue means there is a fade. This way you can tell which are fades and which aren't at a glance without having to zoom in.

ps. Just a picky little hint ... it's easier for the rest of us reading the forums if your subject line actually contains the subject of your post. For example, "light & dark blue triangles" instead of "What does it mean when...". Thanks! :)
