Does the upgrade to VMS 10 ProductionSuite contain everything the retal box version contains?

Specifically does it contain:
* Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 with Vocal Eraser tool
* 1,001 Sound Effects
* NewBlueFX Audio and Video Effects
* Tutorial DVD

I seem to remember not getting a bunch of stuff the last time I upgraded. Comments from people who have upgraded?

Yes, I got all those with the Production Suite upgrade, download version. It takes a while to download, but you get everything that's on the disc version.

Can anyone else confirm that download includes all components. I would hate to pay extra $10 for shipping and another $10 for boxed version.

I do have the 1001 Sound Fx, as it came with the boxed version of VMS6. Perhaps Sony keeps track of what users already have, and makes only available for download what is new... Just my 2cents...

I got 6 of the 7. Sound effects were not included in my down loaded purchase of the Suite edition. I already had the 1001 sound effects but I do not think they came with my VMS Platinum 9 edition, it seems I found a source here in this forum or searched online for them I just can not remember how I got them.

I wish I can show a picture of the download page I received. The very last item is the 1001 sound effects. it is a 189.7 MB zip file.
If you are not seeing them on the download link Sony sent you, then I suggest you call Customer Service. These definitely are inlcuded in the download version,

Darryl,
I think in VMS9, you needed to get the disc in order to get the Sound FX. The v10 download (suite) had a link to it. May want to check your email. Click on the link in your email and you should see the download. It is right below the tutorials (last one on the page).

I've received everything that is included in Production Suite as downloadable files. Tutorials, Sound Tracks and Sound Effects are allowed three download attempts each, which - considering their sizes - may cause a problem. Also, so far I've found out that as compared with VMS 9 Platinum Pro Pack which I've been using for a year: new NewBlue FX's are not many, Sound Tracks differ very little, Sound Effects are identical. So, the really new thing is Vocal Eraser plus new features in VMS HD 10 and DVDA 5

Ninan,

The NB FX are all new as far as I can tell. They are the ones with "MSPS". V8 has MSP and V9 has MSPP appended to the name.

The email I originally received for the download links did not have the link for the 1000 Sound effects. I called Customer support and they told me that some number of the earliest orders did not contain the link for theses sound effects. I gave the rep my Order number and they immediately sent me a second email containing just the link for these sound effects. No extra charges for this

Mark655,
yes, you're right! In the Pro Pack I only got NewBlue Cartoonr; the rest came with the Production Suite, I got confused as the new NewBlue FX's can now be used both with my VMS 9 and VMS 10. Moreover, after having the NewBku FX's registered I received a coupon for a half priced purchase of their other products. There is still one more difference concerning the Soundtracks (except for a few omissions from either set), those that came with the Pro Pack are in the .pca format, while the new ones are .mp3's. And on the whole, I am satisfied with the Production Suite. Fingers crossed, but so far I haven't had any problems with editing and preparing the authored blu-ray disks of my two fairly complex projects including videos and slideshows. Even though my GPU (ATI) does'nt make use of fast rendering and the quality of previewing is irritating, putting it mildly.

I did not have the sound effects in my initial email, I bought the upgrade on June 9th. I contacted customer service they sent me the down load no problem.
