I am including some still image pans in my new project, and I was wondering what DPI people have found to be the best to scan. Also, is there any particular image format that is the easiest for vegas to handle well for animation? I was thinking TIFF or TGA.
The dpi isn't really relevant, as it's the resolution that counts. Vegas doesn't like tif files, because it requires an external reader. (quicktime) Use TGA or PNG for best results.
As far as resolution, double the resolution of DV is plenty good unless you'll be doing really deep pans/scans. 1440 x 960 is plenty most of the time.
