What file I/O option does/did vegas 16 use by default?

Just out of curiosity what file I/O option does/did Vegas 16 use by default and is there anyway to enable this for vegas 17?

@LongIslanderrr - Why? Why are you curious? However, I'm guessing you'd need to ask one of the Program Engineers.
