What is BEST rendering for import to FLASH?

What is the best rendering format if I will import video into Macromedia Flash MX? I want to convert the video to a flash (.swf) and place it on my web site
as the opening splash screen? The reason I will use Vegas is because it
is much easier for my to use plus I will be adding video. I have done it already
but am NOT 100% happy with the results. Too many artifacts on motion text!

I use .avi a lot and it's great. It kinda depends on what version of flash you have. The newest has much more powerful video import features. Either way, you have some options on import for quality etc so play around with formats and quality. I prefer .avi to .mpg, but that's all I've tried.

VEGAS 4 WILL NOT EXPORT TO .SWF!!! I'm not sure if this option will be in V5 or not. I usually export .avi and import this into FLASH. From FLASH I export my .swf
