What is best way to add 4 text tracks

Vegas Pro 8,
To add some neat text effects, I takes 8 tracks. The obvious way to do this is add 8 tracks above my workspace, but i hate to take up all that room. I'd like to render it as a single track and import it into my project, or I'd like to create a group and import the group, or most preferred is to import all 8 tracks and reduce them to a single track group. but i cant find away to do any of these. If I render as a avi file, it has a black background. I guess I could chroma color out the background.

Is there a preferred way to add these 8 text tracks to my project and still allow reasonable workspace. maybe I just use the slider bar and keep them above my working tracks. thanks

render as an uncompressed AVI (I prefer quicktime - png encoding). But you can also import your .veg project file in to another project file, that is the simplest way!

Rick, I'm not altogether certain what you're asking, but you do what you have to do depending on the project's requirements. If that means 8 tracks of text, so be it.

I'm working on a project that will require well over 75 tracks of text. Yes, it takes space and time, but the end result will be worth it.

I add complex TEXT tracks in a separate Veggie and introduce them "back" as a single NESTED Veg. If I want to RE-EDIT them it's just a right click away. This way you COULD reduce 8 tracks to ONE, and ONE Event.
