After going through the code, it appears to be unused. this pref does nothing.

There are many dead prefs in the internal list - one more reason not to go looking for "Secret features" in the internal section. Trust me, if there was a feature lurking in there that was really valuable, we would expose it in the "public" app settings. Most are there for testing and diagnosis not as features.

But, there are a few that work a treat!

Momma don't take our internal away.

I like leaving the tracks empty of FX by default and adding what I want (usually NOT the Sonic Foundry plugs). Also nice to have control over the splash screen... ; ))

the fade envelope default in internal preferences too

I too use the fade envelope setting. And I set 'event group selection' to 'true' to create - for me at least - more normal DAW grouping.

WT - that was needed in older versions, but you can now set default track properties by right clicking on the track number.

Important: If you monkey with the internal prefs, meaning if you change even ONE, we will not be able to provide any tech support.

Let's not mention internal prefs any more in this forum; it looks like they may take them away!
