You have to upgrade to VP17 or buy VMS 16 Pl that has the same screencapture.

@SomeAMan

If all you want is screen capture, IMHO it would be far better and cheaper just to use a 3rd party app. I'd suggest you try OBS (freeware) which has extensive capture options including lossless. You could then import directly into V16 for editing.

Here's another option I would give a try since it's already built into Windows 10 and from reviews I read, it seems to work well. I've used it twice and it did the job for me, so I don't have a lot of experience with it. It was designed for the gaming community, which is typically one of the more difficult tasks to handle capturing game play in real-time without dropping frames and causing the rest of your system to come to a screeching halt while performing a screen recording capture.

Press WINDOWS key+G. This should open the Xbox gaming screen capture utility on your screen where you can make any adjustment settings. See image below.

If you hoover your mouse over the video record button shown in the upper left, the quick-tips will show short-cut keys Windows+Alt+R will start screen capture recording.

If you've made it this far, you can now close out that Windows 10 built in Xbox app control panel.

Now anytime you want to start screen capture recording, just press the WINDOWS+ALT+R keys, and screen capture recording will start.

As well, if you press the SETTINGS icon in Windows you will see a "Gaming" settings option.

Clicking on that settings option will provide you more configuration options, including re-defining the keyboard short-cuts to start/stop screen recording capture.
