what monitor for HDV

I am looking to buy a plasma, or LCD widescreen monitor to hook up to the computer, to preview as well as edit. I want something at least 30 inches, but no bigger than 42 inches. What are people using that has been great? Thanks

I'm using the Sony 234b monitor, it's ideal for me as it's 1920 x 1200, small footprint, 23", and looks fab. It's smaller than your 30" requirement tho.

It certainly looks like plasma is on the way out for manufacturing cost reasons.

Not the rated lifespan which is now at 60,000+ hours, or the picture quality which is totally exceptional on the top (most expensive) screens.
