What recorder?

Some newbie questions:

I am on my way to edit my first film, and I am almost finished with all the clip.

Now I want to have some speaking information in the film, little here and there, a total of about 5 minutes.

Unfortunately I do not still have any videocamera.

So, how do I do with a good result, with clean and distinct speaking information in my film?

* What sorts of a recorder is recommended?

* And how do I transfer my speaking information to my Vegas 4?

Down and dirty (cheapest) version, get the best high impedance mic you can at maybe Radio Shack, plug it into your soundcard's mic input, record to an audio track in Vegas.

Right way, get a pro soundcard, a pre-amp or mixer and a good low impedance mic and record directly to Vegas as above.
