I was wondering what would be a good interim codec to use with disk space vs. compression quality in mind for a unusual clip size.

I am shooting in regular 720x480 DV compression but my project will be 720x200. So in the editing process I need to render some rather long clips out temporarily at the 720x200. I tried the AV codec but it only let you use 720x480 or PAL resolutions.

Short of rendering uncompressed AVI, what codec would give me about the same quality/compression ratio as the DV codec?
